Ferrari F1 Car 2023: Ferrari introduces SF-23 at Maranello ahead of 2023 F1 season

Ferrari has unveiled the SF23, the vehicle it believes to halt its 15-year streak of not winning the Formula One title.

With the addition of black around the front of the chassis and on the rear wing, where the team name is printed in white letters, the new vehicle still wears Ferrari’s iconic red livery.

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz then performed a number of laps for the spectators there as well as those watching internet broadcasts, which is unusual for F1 vehicle premieres.

Since winning the Formula One constructors’ championship in 2008, and the drivers’ championship in 2007 with Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari has not claimed any of these championships.

Leclerc expects that the new vehicle would put an end to the Ferrari fans’ anticipation.

With an array of cars from across segments, the year 2022 has been an interesting mix for automotive enthusiasts. As the year is coming to an end, here is a look at some of the most eagerly awaited cars that are set to impress the world in 2023. From luxury sedans to hatchbacks, 2023 is expected to spring out some surprises.

At the launch ceremony, Leclerc stated that winning was the main objective. “I and the team are motivated by success. I can’t wait to go back behind the wheel and pursue that title.”

The order of the drivers for the Fiorano laps was established by a coin flip, however, Sainz was informed of the live situation via the team radio as Leclerc finished the opening circuits.

Leclerc reassured Sainz, “Everything seems wonderful, mate”.

You are P1 at the moment, Sainz retorted.

The reply came from the pilot, “P1 baby!”

After Mattia Binotto was replaced as Ferrari team principal during the winter by Fred Vasseur, the SF23 marks the beginning of a new era at Maranello.

After a disastrous 2022 title campaign in which the team failed to live up to its early-season promise and ultimately concluded with just four wins compared to the 17 of world champions Red Bull, Binotto’s tenure was put to an end.

Last year, Ferrari looked to have all the necessary components for victory, but after a good start to the season, Ferrari capitulated due to a string of reliability difficulties, strategy blunders, and driver errors.

Ferrari had to compromise engine performance due to reliability concerns in order to ensure race finishes, and fixing those problems has been a top priority during the winter.

However, the team’s car development fell short of Red Bull’s, and it lost out on a number of opportunities as a result of dubious tactical decisions. Since joining last month, Vasseur said he has studied last year’s strategy choices, but there are no plans to replace important pit wall workers before the first race.

Leclerc and Sainz will be treated equally this year, according to Ferrari, unless one has a strong chance of winning the race.
